Went to the K Festival on Saturday night, like a kind of mini Glastonbury in a field outside Polzeath, Cornwall. Had a great time, saw The Magic Numbers, who were brilliant and the Happy Mondays, who were OK...
Torrential rain as the festival was ending around midnight, our small tent was getting soggier by the second. In the end we bailed out and walked back to sleep in the car...drove home (about 15mins) at 5am the next morning...looking forward to next year.
Latest illustration, finished about 15 secs ago :¬)...not really sure who he is or what he's for, he just grew out of my sketchbook....
Myron's Magic Cow has been selected as one of The Booksellers highlights. This means that in the Bookseller Children's Buyers Guide where hundreds and hundreds of new children's titles are listed, Myron has been picked out and highlighted.
Hope this will bode well for sales of the book.
Visit the authors website here, or see mine for more illustrations from the book

title says it all really...the hat belonged to a famous artist (and is now worn by a not so famous illustrator)
The water was so clear, I could steer around the jellyfish when snorkelling
This one looked as if the patterns had been drawn on....
Jelly fish, they were all over the beach, I'd never seen so many at once before....
Barbeque at Epphaven beach, we forgot to take the portable barbeque out of it's cardboard box before lighting....consequently we had warm vegetable kebabs rather than cooked ones....didn't really matter though
Here are the four advance copies of Myron's Magic Cow I received from Barefoot Books. It will be published in September I think....
Tried to follow a footpath across a field near St Mabyn but got stopped by a crop of bamboo at least eight feet high...
Some very curious cows, they looked at us with utter astonishment (wondering how we were walking on two legs?)and then followed us down the field....
Looking towards the sea, the church on the skyline is St Enodoc
I just couldn't stop taking photos of this field. Taken at 8.20pm in a field just outside St Mabyn, Cornwall....
Different sofa, longer legs, great event... here's me watching Live 8 in 2005
...and I was five. This is me and my sister watching Live Aid in 1985
Here's a detail showing Cinderella's father wih her step mother and an ugly sister.
...and here's the (possibly) finished illustration.
