Here's some more work from my days at Falmouth Art College:
This was for the story, In The Attic and was my first attempt at illustrating a children's picture book.

Jesus Storybook Bible on CBS!
The author of the bible I illustrated, Sally Lloyd -Jones has just e-mailed to let me know that the book was spotted on CBS News: Sunday Morning, in a segment on the history of Bible publishing, highlighting how many different types of bible are available today. Ours was used to illustrate a "bible for kids", pretty impressive considering how many children's bibles there must be to choose from.
Jesus Storybook Bible illustrations - Part V
This is the last of them, although it's only a small selection of the 180 illustrations I produced over 9 months for this 352 pg book.

Another birthday... another card
Here's another birthday card, this time for my gran, it's an altered version of the painting posted here a week or so ago. I've framed and cropped it somewhat.
Happy Birthday Jonah
Here's the card I gave my (not so) little brother for his 17th birthday.... He's been talking about getting tattoos so I thought I'd try one out on him. I also gave him a larger ear plug and customised his top.

Just trying out Art Rage (which is free or $20), I have to say it simulates pencil better than anything else I've tried....

Wow Award, more info...
MANTRA WINS TWO AWARDS AT THE EDUCATION SHOW
21-04-2006
The 2006 "Education Show" was held at the NEC in Birmingham,UK. Mantra Lingua's "Little Red Hen and the Grains of Wheat" won the WOW award given by the National Literacy Association (NLA).The book "caught the panel's attention because of its sumptuous illustrations with their determined and joyful appeal which give the familiar text a resonance. Witty, with a juggling cat and a duck on stilts, this will be a favourite in primary classrooms. There is a helpful list of keywords in translation in every edition, so you get a literacy resource for two languages, great for multilingual classroom.

Promo Postcard
Here's my new promo postcard, back and front. I realised that I only contacted most of the publishers here when I'd just left college, so I thought it was about time to boast of my ten published books, multiple awards, stella reviews, enormous swollen ego/head etc... :)
