Jesus Storybook Bible on CBS!
The author of the bible I illustrated, Sally Lloyd -Jones has just e-mailed to let me know that the book was spotted on CBS News: Sunday Morning, in a segment on the history of Bible publishing, highlighting how many different types of bible are available today. Ours was used to illustrate a "bible for kids", pretty impressive considering how many children's bibles there must be to choose from.

Another birthday... another card
Here's another birthday card, this time for my gran, it's an altered version of the painting posted here a week or so ago. I've framed and cropped it somewhat.

Here's the card I gave my (not so) little brother for his 17th birthday.... He's been talking about getting tattoos so I thought I'd try one out on him. I also gave him a larger ear plug and customised his top.

MANTRA WINS TWO AWARDS AT THE EDUCATION SHOW

The 2006 "Education Show" was held at the NEC in Birmingham,UK. Mantra Lingua's "Little Red Hen and the Grains of Wheat" won the WOW award given by the National Literacy Association (NLA).The book "caught the panel's attention because of its sumptuous illustrations with their determined and joyful appeal which give the familiar text a resonance. Witty, with a juggling cat and a duck on stilts, this will be a favourite in primary classrooms.There is a helpful list of keywords in translation in every edition, so you get a literacy resource for two languages, great for multilingual classroom.
